General  Information
The centrality of communication in modern society, and the increasing demand for quality information by commercial and public systems have turned the field of librarianship and information sciences into a world that is dynamic  and much in demand.
Areas of involvement covered by information sciences and librarianship: identifying human needs of knowledge, organization, spread and encouragement of the use of information, including a variety of non-book materials, such as data bases and computer programs, as well as multimedia collections.
The librarian -information specialist is a person with broad education,  social awareness and excellent communication skills. He is an expert   in   navigating through  various sources of information, via sophisticated search methods on the computer.

The goal of studies in the area of information sciences and librarianship is to prepare academic librarians and information specialists in senior  positions and roles in management at various levels in academic libraries, research libraries, specialized libraries, information centers, public libraries, and school libraries.

Entrance Requirements

B.A in any accredited University / College, minimum grade average 80.
The program is on with the registry  of 20 students
